Tiffany & Co., the newest player to join the mobile mania, announced today that it was launching its first ever iPhone app – The Tiffany & Co. Engagement Ring Finder. The app includes an accurate Ring Sizer that lets users determine their ring size by placing a ring directly on the screen and aligning it with the correct circle in the guide. The rings are shown true-to-size, and the application also allows customers zoom in on the ring’s details, and of course, they can also share their favorites on Facebook and Twitter. {To access the Tiffany & Co. Some of you iPhone users out there are thinking: ‘oh, cool! When I am shopping on 47th, I’ll have nice pictures to which I can compare the rings there.’ But what does this say about Tiffany and its marketing strategy? What does this say about the Jewelry industry in general? Or is it simply a way for a gal to have something to drool over when she’s bored?

Gift giving always presents me with one dilemma: To find a gift that is not entirely useless and yet not something so practical that it’s completely boring. My solution to this gift giving conundrum is to find very practical and very useful everyday items, but ones that are stylized and fun. Another option is to give a few small, matching items to create a color theme.
Here are some variations in Green:
Cuisinart: 7-Speed Hand Mixer $49.99 at Sur La Table
Cuisinart SmartStick Immersion Blender: $29.99 at Sur La Table

The ceremony of getting ready, the ritual of setting up, of preparing for something truly momentous, is endowed with significance, emotion and symbolism. Moments that precede a couple’s wedding are filled with excitement, with a sense of anticipation, sometimes worry – worry about those little things that may have been overlooked but seem so important at this time, with inspiration, with hopes and tefilos for the future, and sometimes simply with hearty humor.
This week’s wedding photo theme is Getting Ready.
Here are some of the images captured by our photographers of these precious moments.

Your wedding photographer is honored with the precious responsibility of freezing in time the treasured moments of one of the biggest days of your life. To show our readers the unique views through the lens of different photographers, we asked the photographers at ChossonKallah.com to share with us their images on a weekly photo theme.
This week’s theme is ‘Children at Weddings’.
After the first wedding my daughter had attended, she could not fall a sleep at night, remembering all the exciting points of the wedding and retelling them to me for the twentieth time with shining eyes. To her, attending a wedding was equivalent to being in a fairy castle, complete with a real live princess in a white dress. As with everything they do, children bring a fresh and uninhibited touch to the joy of a wedding celebration and they never fail to provide the photographer with fun and whimsical material. Hopefully, your photographer will capture this fresh excitement on the faces of your youngest guests.
